Session 3

Using DataZone to Build the Master Schedule

Presented by Justin Ponzio

Building a master schedule is tough work. Building it without a philosophy or strategy is a recipe for disaster. There are many programs out there to help create a master schedule, however harnessing data to drive master schedule decisions and preparing teachers for their students is key to a successful school year. Using DataZone to properly identify how students are placed as well as identifying potential struggles for students and teachers will allow the master schedule creator to adequately foresee pitfalls and make necessary changes for success. As an assistant principal overseeing the master schedule at Campbell Union High School District¹s Branham High, Justin will walk novice and veteran master schedule administrators through his process of building a master schedule that truly puts student need first.
